Information involved
When a parent or prospective student contacts us by email, their message may include names, email addresses, the student’s year group, examination board, learning goals and requested lesson times. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and has been requested appropriately.
Why information is used
Enquiry information is used to reply to your message, assess the tuition you are looking for and arrange an introductory conversation. Where tuition is agreed, relevant information is used to plan, provide and administer lessons. Potential lawful bases include legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, contractual necessity for agreed tuition, and legal obligations for required records. The precise basis for each activity must be checked before this notice is finalised. Any reliance on legitimate interests should be supported by an assessment that considers the rights and interests of parents and pupils.
Service providers and website technology
Wix hosts the website, and Microsoft 365 handles business email. When you follow an email link to contact us, your own email provider also handles the message. Website resources currently request Google Fonts from Google-operated servers, and Wix-managed website code may process technical information. No Google Analytics or advertising-tracking script has been deliberately added to this website by The Big Macro. However, cookies and other storage used by Wix-managed code have not yet been independently verified, so this is not a claim that the website uses no cookies.
Cookies and similar technologies
Some cookies or similar technical storage may be necessary to provide website functions or security. Any non-essential cookies requiring consent must not be used without an appropriate consent choice. A final cookie inventory and any necessary consent mechanism are pending a live-browser assessment of Wix-managed website functions. Until that is done, we cannot give a complete list of cookie names and durations.
International processing
Because external service providers are involved, information may be processed outside the UK. The relevant processing locations and any required safeguards are being checked with providers before this notice is finalised.
Retention and rights
Enquiries that do not lead to tuition will normally be deleted six months after the last contact, unless a specific legal obligation or legitimate need requires longer retention. Information relating to ongoing or completed tuition, and financial records, may have different retention periods, which are still being determined. People can email us to ask about their personal information, including access, correction or deletion where applicable. Concerns may also be raised with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
